SYANGJA, May 28: A heavy windstorm has wreaked havoc on the houses in the village of Rambachchha Devisthan in Waling-1 on Monday.
The cyclone followed by heavy rain has blown away the roofs of a half a dozen houses and destroyed maize crops, vegetables and fruits. Similarly, Khem Narayan Koirala, a local of Devistha of Waling-1, sustained injuries in the incident.
The windstorm blew away Koirala’s three-story building, zinc-sheet roof of his cow shed, roofs of Bal Kumari Koirala, Ishwari Koirala and their cow sheds.
Meanwhile, Chief District Officer Koshhari Niraula has directed his subordinate units to prepare a report on the damaged incurred by the windstorm and send it to him.
