KATHMANDU, June 30: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DoHM) has warned that there will be heavy rainfall in the eastern and western regions of the country.
Issuing a special press statement on Thursday evening, MFD said that ongoing rainfall will continue for the next couple of days throughout the country.

“Monsoon will be active for the next few days throughout the country,” Sujan Subedi, senior meteorologist at MFD, said. He informed that there will be normal or mild rainfall throughout the country and some parts of the western and eastern regions will witness heavy rainfall. Subedi also warned of landslides and floods incidents.
MFD said that the rainfall has surpassed normal precipitation for the month of June in the Kathmandu Valley. On Wednesday the Kathmandu Valley witnessed 95 mm rainfall.
