KATHMANDU, Sept 5: A scheduled hearing on the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court (SC) against the appointment of Kulman Ghising to the post of managing director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has been postponed. The hearing was scheduled to be conducted by Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra SJB Rana.
In the first hearing on the writ petition, the Supreme Court had ordered the government to submit the files related to the appointment of Ghising as the chief of the NEA.
Hearing on writ petition against NEA MD Ghising deferred again
Earlier, the outgoing NEA Managing Director Hitendra Dev Shakya had filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court on August 16, seeking his reinstatement to the post. Shakya was appointed as an expert member at the Water and Energy Commission after the government decided to appoint Ghising to Shakya.
