Hearing on Paul Shah case in Nawalpur today

KATHMANDU, August 24: The hearing on the rape case filed against actor Paul Shah, who is in jail on charges of rape, has been scheduled for today.

Nawalpur District Court has scheduled the hearing for today and Tanahun District Court for September 4.

At present, Shah is jailed in Tanahun for further investigation. With the appearance scheduled today, the Tanahun court may decide whether to release Shah with or without bail, or keep him in prison.

Earlier on February 23, 2022, a case was filed against Actor Paul Shah at the District Police Office Tanahun on the charge of raping a minor.  A similar case has been registered against Shah at the Nawalpur District Court as well. The case was filed against Shah in Nawalpur, claiming that he had committed an offense under sections 219 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS.
