KATHMANDU, Jan 10: The hearing on the case of contempt of court against Dr Govinda KC has concluded. The verdict is expected on Wednesday itself.
During the hearing that took place in the joint session bench of Justices Purushottam Bhandari and Bam Kumar Shrestha, Dr KC said that he does not need quittance. However, he urged the bench to address the demands for which he has started his hunger strike.
Stating that he is not concerned if he would be acquitted by the apex court, Dr KC reiterated that his main objectives to make the country corruption-free. Advocates Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Om Prakash Aryal, Babu Ram GIri, Dinesh Tripathia and Surendra Tripathi will defend for Dr KC whereas Raman Shrestha, Upendra Keshari Neupane and Shyam Prasad Kharel will plead for plaintiffs.
