KATHMANDU, July 5: With 293 new cases of coronavirus today, Nepal's COVID-19 tally reached 1, 5784 on Sunday afternoon.


At a daily media briefing, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Jageshwar Gautam, said that new cases of coronavirus were recorded during tests conducted at various laboratories across the country in the past 24 hours.

According to Gautam, 132 COVID-19 patients returned home after recovery in the past 24 hours. "As of today, the number of COVID-19 patients to be discharged after recovery has reached 6, 547," he said.
