KATHMANDU, May 28: Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed the fifth COVID-19 death in Nepal.
At a media briefing, Bikash Devkota, the spokesperson for the ministry, said that the fifth person succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal.
The 56-year-old man from Bungmati of Lalitpur passed away due to COVID-19 on Wednesday evening, according to Devkota.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, it was reported that the man with Alcoholic Liver Disease died at Gwarko-based Kist Hospital on Wednesday. His swab sample tested positive for COVID-19.
