POKHARA, April 13: Pokhara Metropolis-1 has distributed health insurance cards to the helpless and disadvantaged families in the ward.
Health insurance was done for of 40 households from the budget of Rs 100,000 appropriated for disadvantaged, helpless and disabled people. Sharada Kumari Parajuli, ward chair, said the insurance cards were distributed to the families based on the health insurance program for disadvantaged families under social responsibility.
The government has arranged the cardstrough which five members of a family can take the health services worth Rs 50,000, she shared. Total 200 people of the ward would be benefitted from the insurance package, the ward chair further noted. The insurance cards were distributed by Pokhara Metropolis Deputy Mayor Manju Devi Gurung amidst a programme on Friday.
