Head constable arrested for robbery

MAHENDRANAGAR, March 29: A police head constable has been arrested in accusation of robbing a businessman here in Dhanusha. 

The head constable was arrested on Monday for involvement in the incident of robbery near Shyam Chowk of Janakpur. 

Head Constable, Dharmendra Paswan, stationed with the Devdiha Police Post has been arrested for robbing businessman, Jibach Yadav, off Rs 200,000. 

The locals identified the constable Paswan and informed the District Police Office, Dhanusha. 

Acting on the tip off the police carried out a search in his rented room behind the Land Reform Office and arrested him with the money, Dhanusha's Superintendent of Police (SP), Lal Mani Acharya, said. Paswan is currently under detention at the District Police Office for further investigation. 

Fugitive arrested 

The Dhanusha police have been successful in arrested fugitive Mohan Bahadur Nepali aka Kumar Sarki of Mithila Municipality – 4. 

Sarki has been arrested on charges of murdering, Budha Bahadur Magar, of Jamuniwas of Mithila Municipality – 7. Sarki fled after Magar, who was seriously injured during a scuffle on January 9, succumbed in course of treatment. Sarki was arrested on Sunday night. RSS
