UNITED STATES, Nov 7: Harry Bhandari of Nepali origin has won Congress seat in the mid-term election of United States.
Bhandari won the Senate as the first US politician of Nepali origin securing 20,977 votes. Eric Bromwell and Carl Jackson also participated from the Democratic Party. Similarly, Harry competed with Joe Closter and Joseph Butler of the Republican party.
Harry Bhandari had moved to the United States from Thapathana, Falewas Municipality, Parbat. Bhandari is a teacher by profession. He is also a Central committee member of the Democratic Party
