KATHMANDU, May 23: Cimex Inc Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co Ltd, in Nepal, has appointed actor and comedian Hari Bansha Acharya as its brand ambassador.

A contract was signed during BYD Dealer's Meet 2022 held on May 21, in the presence of BYD dealers from across the nation, according to a statement issued by the company. Both sides have reached an agreement to promote electric mobility in Nepal.

"The current situation clearly portrays the need to switch to EVs as globally people are realizing that fuel cars are inefficient and a major threat to the planet. I am very pleased to be joining an effort to increase the number of clean vehicles on the road,” the statement quoted Hari Bansha Acharya as saying.
