RATNANAGAR (Chitwan), Sept 26: The unmanaged bundles of wire in the streets of Chitwan have heightened the risk of road accidents.

The haze of electrical, telephone and cable wires dangling above the streets from electrical poles have posed risk to bigger vehicles plying the road as well as pedestrians, Chitwan Traffic Office Chief, Raja Bhetwal said.

At many places loose broken wires are hanging from the poles. Bhetwal added that the problem is widespread in the district. But, the scenario is common in the entire streets of Nepal.

Chitwan Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Bhim Bahadur Pandey, said the transporters used in the industrial sector are at high risk due to such mismanaged wires.

Meanwhile, the Local Administration Chitwan has issued an instruction for removing and managing the wires after an influx of complaints. The high voltage wires that could snap and fall on pedestrians and moving vehicles have posed huge risks. RSS
