BARCELONA, Sept 10: Needing to jump-start its Spanish league title challenge, Atletico Madrid turned to Antoine Griezmann for its first win of the season on Saturday.
Griezmann scored twice after setting up Atletico's opener in the second half to lead a 4-0 victory at Celta Vigo.
Atletico's win came after draws with recently promoted Leganes and Alaves in the first two rounds, leaving it trailing title rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid.
France forward Griezmann sparked a stalled Atletico that was heading toward another stumble after an ineffective first half.
His cross set up Jorge "Koke" Resurreccion for his opener in the 52nd minute.
Griezmann followed that with headed goals in the 73rd and 81st before substitute Angel Correa scored late.
