KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli claimed on Friday that the government will not spare any individual or groups that commit fraudulent activities and crimes.
Addressing an awareness rally organized by the Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district chapters of the CPN-UML at Durbar Marg on Friday, UML Chairman Oli said that since the ruling partners UML and Nepali Congress (NC) formed the government together with the goal of establishing political stability and good governance, they are committed to bringing fraudsters and criminals to justice.
Stating that despite many rumors being spread against them, he said the UML will not run after illusions. “There is no need to run after the crow just because someone claims that the crow has taken away your ears,” he remarked.
“There have been unacceptable acts of defrauding the government and blaming others,” PM Oli said, “The Nepali people will not be fooled, they will move forward to fulfill the resolution of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’, while maintaining the history and pride of their culture.”

He added that the people who are trying to divide the society by creating chaos through undemocratic means are trying to jeopardize the future of Nepal. “We must be aware of this kind of people,” he said, “The country and the people are the most important thing for us and the people need to be united in order to have a prosperous country.”
PM Oli also challenged the individuals that have accumulated massive wealth for their children and become owners of billions while making corruption accusations against him, to a public debate.
Stating that no one can shake the current equation and the government, PM Oli said that the current government will work to discourage various types of hatred between society and communities.
Only UML leaders can build the nation: Pokhrel
CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel claimed that only the UML can build the nation.
Speaking at the Awareness Assembly held in Kathmandu’s Durbar Marg on Friday, General Secretary Pokharel also invited other forces in the country to join hands with them to build the nation together. “We are working to build the nation. UML will build the country. Let us work. Only UML can work in a way that builds the nation,” he said.
General Secretary Pokharel said that the most visionary leadership in Nepal is only with their party.
“A strong political party is needed to build the country, and that is none other than the UML. Only UML has visionary leadership in Nepal. Under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, a prosperous Nepal with happy Nepali people will be created,” he said, adding, “It has been claimed that UML has become unpopular and distant from the people. However, UML is in the midst of the people; UML is in the heart of the people.”
He claimed that the UML government had worked to eliminate load shedding. “In Nepal, there is a trend that work is done by one and credit is given to the other.”
