KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government will leave no stone unturned to bring the culprit of the Kanchanpur incident to book.

Prime Minister Oli has said so during a meeting with lawmakers of Kailali and Kanchanpur districts and central committee members of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in Baluwatar on Saturday afternoon.

Oli has said that the government is very serious about the Kanchanpur incident and has already formed a probe committee to look into the case.

“Violence is being escalated under the cover of the Kanchanpur incident. The government is serious about it. We have already directed the security agencies to identify the real culprit and bring the situation under control,” said Oli.

Meanwhile, Oli has also urged one and all to be cautious about those hell-bent on politicizing the Kanchanpur unrest.

A team led by NCP standing committee member Bhim Rawal met Prime Minister Oli and Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Baluwatar and apprised them of latest developments of Kanchapur incident and urged them to identify the culprit and bring him/her to book at the earliest.
