KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Government is preparing to declare the deceased of Bandarmude incident as martyrs. 38 people lost their lives in an ambush targeted to a passenger bus by Maoist during insurgency on June 5, 2005, at Bandarnude of Chitwan.
According to a source, Minister for Forest, Bikram Pandey will take the proposal to the cabinet meeting on Thursday. “He has prepared the proposal to declare the deceased of the incident as martyrs. Most probably, the cabinet meeting will decide on this today”, said the source.
The cabinet meeting is scheduled at 5 pm on Thursday.
