Govt stops issuing of No Objection Letter to students willing to study abroad amid growing risk of COVID-19 pandemic

KATHMANDU, April 22: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has suspended the issuing of ‘No Objection Letter’ to those aspiring to go abroad for studies until further notice.


The ministry suspended the service in the view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in and out of the country. The ministry has suspended issuing ‘No Objection Letter’ to students willing to go to Japan, Australia, South Korea, Bangladesh and China, reads a notice issued by the Ministry.

The ministry had to suspend the service as per the decision made by the cabinet meeting held earlier on Monday, the notice further reads.
