KATHMANDU, Aug. 4: CPN-UML lawmaker Guru Baral on Tuesday said the prime minister and home minister should take moral responsibility for the deaths of four people during clashes between two communities in Madhesh.
Speaking during the House of Representatives meeting, Baral demanded that the government form a judicial investigation committee led by a former judge to conduct an impartial probe into the incidents in Sunsari and Siraha.

Baral said an independent judicial mechanism was necessary to uncover the truth behind the incidents. He stressed the need to identify the actual causes of the clashes and find a long-term solution to prevent such incidents from recurring.
"Let us find out the actual cause of the incidents and move towards a sustainable solution. The country's welfare lies in moving in this direction, and stubbornness in this matter is unacceptable," he said in Parliament.
The main opposition UML has reiterated its demand for greater government accountability over the incidents in Sunsari and Siraha, calling for an impartial investigation and clear determination of responsibility.
