KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The ruling coalition is working to finalize the Common Minimum Program (CMP) of the new government by Friday.
A Task Force formed earlier to draft the CMP is expected to complete the entire work by Friday. The Task Force Coordinator Bishnu Paudel told media on Thursday that the draft of the CMP has already been prepared.
Poudel, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, said that the draft has been prepared by incorporating suggestions received from various political parties that supported Pushpa Kamal Dahal during his appointment as new prime minister. He said that all works will be completed by Friday after holding a detailed discussion on the draft document.
"As you are aware that a working group has been formed to draft a common minimum program of the government," he said. “We are having working group meetings from time to time. Our preparations have progressed. We have prepared a draft by incorporating suggestions of various parties that are part of the new government.”
