KATHMANDU, April 1: The government has recommended President Ram Chandra Poudel to prorogue the winter session of the parliament effective from tonight.
A cabinet meeting held on Monday night, recommended that the parliament session be concluded from midnight today. However, a parliamentary session will take place today, with a meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for 11 am.

The winter session of the parliament began on January 31 this year.
According to Article 93 of the Constitution, the president summons and prorogues parliamentary sessions based on the recommendation of the cabinet.
