Govt preparing to open religious sites for visitors from Oct 17

TAPLEJUNG, Oct 7: The government is planning to open religious sites for visitors and devotees from Oct 17.


Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, who was in Taplejung for inauguration of Border Outpost established at northern border point, maintained that the proposal of opening religious sites for visit will be tabled in the Council of Ministers coming Thursday.

“The proposal will only be implemented after the endorsement from the Council of Ministers,” he added. 


The religious sites across the nation are to be gradually opened following health safety protocols and limiting numbers of visitors.


Likewise, Minister Bhattarai also asserted that Nepal Airlines will be conducting flights from Biratnagar to some places of eastern Nepal from Oct 17, if everything goes as planned.
