Govt keeps two planes ready to rescue Nepalis from Israel: Minister Saud

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The government has taken steps to evacuate Nepalis currently in Israel, with two aircraft being kept ready for the rescue mission.

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The government has taken steps to evacuate Nepalis currently in Israel, with two aircraft being kept ready for the rescue mission.


In the meeting of the Foreign Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives held today, Foreign Minister NP Saud mentioned about the Nepalis in Israel and said that Nepal Airlines and Himalayan Airlines have been kept in readiness to repatriate the Nepalis there.


He also mentioned in the meeting that so far 200 Nepalis have applied to return home from Israel.

Minister Saud said that while there are 4500 caregivers and 265 students in Israel, 10 people died in the attack by Hamas in the southern region, four people are being treated and the condition of one person is unidentified.


Stating that 55 students have been moved to a safe place, he also added in the meeting that arrangements have been made to keep those in the northern region in bunkers.
