Minister for Information for Communications Sherdhan Rai said the date for talks will be determined soon.
“We are in informal talks,” said Minister Rai, “Decisive talks will be held in few days.”
The government hopes the talks will yield positive outcome as the southern neighbor has welcomed the government’s decision.
“The cabinet endorsed the three-point proposal by adopting maximum flexibility,” he said, “The talks will be based on the roadmap.”
The UDMF, however, has termed the government’s proposal as abstract and remarked that it will not address demands of Madhes agitation.

Chairman of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Upendra Yadav said the front has rejected the proposal.
“Abstract proposal won’t solve the current crisis,” Yadav said, “Front’s major demands include delineation of provinces, population as basis for constituencies and proportional representation. They should be addressed immediately.”
The government on the other hand said it can’t exhibit further flexibility.
“The government has been stating its views clearly on the issue,” Minister Rai said, “The cabinet passed the roadmap to douse front’s suspicion. There are no rooms for being more compromising.”
Minister Rai further said the obstructed border entry points will resume in few days after talks.
