KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Most government office premises in Gaur, the district headquarters of Rautahat, have been inundated following nearly 24 hours of continuous rainfall.
Affected offices include the District Administration Office, Land Revenue Office, Infrastructure Office, District Court, Survey Office, District Prison, Provincial Hospital, Chief District Officer’s Residence, Government Attorney’s Office, Treasury and Accounts Control Office, Agriculture and Small Cottage Industries Office, as well as offices in the customs area.

The flooding is caused largely due to swelling of the Bagmati and Lal Bakaiya rivers, following which the District Administration Office has urged the public to exercise caution.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Netramani Giri confirmed that no human casualties have been reported in the district so far.
