BHAKTAPUR, Oct 17: Nepal Workers and Peasants Party chair Narayan Man Bijukchhe has said that the government was not serious to hold the elections in the stipulated time.


In a face to face interaction organized by the Rafat Sanchar Club here today, leader Bijukchhe cast doubts over the timely elections as per the constitutional provision. 


He even shared that the Election Commission itself was saying that the government was not cooperating to fix the dates for the elections.

He further claimed that the sovereignty of the nation might be at risk if unnecessary demands of Tarai-centric parties were fulfilled through constitution amendment. 


Leader Bijukchhe said that the government itself was not taking the initiation for arranging the Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Nepal, adding that India was also playing covert role for the same. 


He argued that Nepal's diplomacy has become the weakest in the history, warning that if such situation exists for long then the nation may lose all kinds of international support. 


The NWPP chair further commented that India was trying to capture Nepal's foreign policy like of Bhutan and the government was assisting in this. 


Leader Bijukchhe claimed that the process of forming a new government would begin soon as the incumbent government has remained a failure in every sector. RSS
