KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the term of the current parliament will not be extended.

Talking to media persons at Dhangadhi airport on Tuesday, Chairman Dahal said that a bill registered in parliament to extend the term of parliament will be withdrawn.

Dahal clarified that the ruling alliance is not in favor of prolonging the term of the current parliament and that the term of current parliament will come to an end after the nomination for the upcoming elections to the members of House of Representatives (HoR) on November 4.

Chairman Dahal admitted that the government failed to perform as per the expectations of the people in the last five years. He mentioned that he had a very big dream after the left unity but that dream was not fulfilled due to the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli as he attempted to destroy the constitution itself.
