Dhangadi, April 21: CPN (Maoist) leader Matrika Yadav has said that the army integration process will lead to the creation of a new army in the country, adding that the government should waste no time removing the army chief. He said army chief Rookmangud Katawal represents the old regime.

Talking to journalists in Dhangadhi, Yadav said that the fight against the old regime is still on and his party is ready to wage another struggle if need be for the welfare of the people.

“If the army does not work under the government, the army chief should be removed without seeking any clarification. There should have been no delay in this regard. Katawal should be removed immediately.” Yadav said.

Labeling the NA as representing feudalism and international capitalism, Yadav claimed that the NA is a hurdle in the creation of a new regime in Nepal.

Yadav also accused the prime minister of representing the old regime becoming estranged from the party ideology.

“In place of one king, there are now many kings,” Yadav said.
