KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The schools across the country that remained closed for more than nine months due to the COVID-19 pandemic are now to be reopened.

The COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) on Sunday took the decision to let schools, gyms and cinema halls resume their services. However, the CCMC has given the authority of closing these institutions, if necessary, to the District COVID-19 Management Committee.

With this decision in effect, schools, gyms and cinema halls are now free to open again after a hiatus of more than nine months, adopting appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols.
