KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Nepal Communist Party Leaders on Monday criticized the government saying that it failed to live up to the people's expectations.
The meeting which started on last Saturday is dwelled on the two political dossiers presented separately by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Bam Dev Gautam.
The participants strongly criticized the party leadership and government in the Standing Committee meeting held at the central party office in Dhumbarahi.
Presenting the political dossier in the meeting, Chairman Dahal claimed that the government was moving ahead effectively, ended syndicate, and destroyed the nexus of smugglers.
Delivering views on the report, participants, however, objected to the report saying that the achievements as claimed in the report have not been realized yet and that the government has failed to curb corruption.
A total of 10 participants including senior leader Bamdev Gautam and Ghana Shyam Bhusal expressed their views on the political document accusing the government of failing to live up to the people’s expectations.
The participants expressed their grievances over the activities of the government in today’s standing committee meeting, said party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha. The next meeting has been scheduled for 10 am tomorrow.
