Govt decides to grant public holiday on occasion of Ram Nawami festival

The government has decided to grant a public holiday on April 6 to mark Ram Nawami.

KATHMANDU, March 19: The government has decided to grant a public holiday on April 6 to mark Ram Nawami.


On Wednesday, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung announced that a cabinet meeting held on Monday had decided to grant a public holiday on Chaitra 24 (April 6) for government offices and institutions.

"We had previously set the public holidays for the year but missed Ram Nawami. So, we had to make a new decision," Gurung said.
