The DoT officials said the casinos came forward to clear their dues only after the government scrapped the operating license of Yak & Yeti Hotel Limited on a similar charge. The government authority also revoked the five-star classification of the hotel for the non-payment of the royalty fee worth Rs 420 million to the state.
Hotel Yak & Yeti however has been claiming that it does not have any financial liabilities due to the government.
