Govt appeals to vote for CA extension bill

KATHMANDU, May 25: The government has appealed all political parties to vote for the amendment of the Interim Constitution for the extension of the Constituent Assembly on Tuesday.



A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday also decided to declare all the non-Maoists killed during the Maoist insurgency until the Jana Andolan II and 16 of those killed during the Madhes Movement as martyrs.[break]



Earlier, only the Maoists killed during the conflict were declared as martyrs.



Meanwhile, the government has also decided to from a central committee for the distribution of the passports. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is distributing old passports as the Machine Readable Passports delayed.
