POKHARA, Jan 20: CPN (UML) Politburo member, Ved Ram Bhusal, on Thursday slammed the government for not showing the vitality needed for announcing the election date.

He accused the government of trying to circumvent the election by bringing the constitution amendment bill.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari, Dang, Bhusal said, "The election bill has not been able to move forward for the election. The other works have also not been undertaken."

Bhusal cautioned that the amendment bill is not in the interest of the country. "This bill is trying to separate the hilly region from Tarai," he said, adding "There is no alternative than to withdraw it." RSS
