Government firm in its commitment: Minister Adhikari

POKHARA, Nov 17: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has argued that the government has not deviated from its commitment. The words given to the people before the election and the policy and programs have not deviated from the aim of fulfilling people's aspiration, he asserted. 

Inaugurating a school building constructed with financial and technical assistance of the Indian Embassy here today, Minister Adhikari said the government was focusing on economic prosperity and development with smooth coordination among three layers of government. 

Nepal was destined to political instability and transition for long, so the government at present had no time to be tangled in minor issues, the Minister said, expressing confidence that the Indian assistance to build this school would be fruitful to ensure golden future of the students. 

He also assured of initiative to launch technical education in the school. 

Deputy Chief at the Indian Embassy in Nepal, Dr Ajay Kumar, informed that India has been assisting Nepal in various sectors including education and the assistance would be continued. The construction of school building is the construction of foundation for golden future of children, he asserted. 

Chairman of the school management committee, Rishiraj Acharya said the school was committed to quality education. There are 1096 students in the school getting education in both English and Nepali medium. 

The school building was constructed at the cost of Rs 36 million. RSS
