Gov't, private sector and NRN must bring economic prosperity- PM Oli

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Prime Minister KP Oli in Non-Resident Nepali’s First International Expert Conference, spoke about the special role of Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) in post-quake time. He exhibited thankfulness for the NRN’s commitment in bringing investment to the motherland and envisioned to bring investment from government, the private sector and NRN for economic prosperity.  He also thanked the private sector and other stakeholders for their active role and involvement in different fields.

Post-quake house reconstruction is a telling example of commitment and delivery of NRN’s dedication and love towards Nepali brothers and sisters. It will certainly elevate your stature in the nation, PM Oli said.

PM Oli said, NRN has united the Nepali Diasporas spread over 100 nations across the world, and expanded Nepali culture, identity, lifestyle across global. He further said physical distance is not diminished yet, rather brought the sense of belonging among the Nepali Diasporas. They have helped to recognize our motherland and imaged us as strong identity bearers in the world. Our motherland is known as the country having the highest peak in the world, Sagarmatha and birthplace of Buddha, the apostle of peace. The natural beauty of here is unmatchable and has distinct art and culture. He stressed on becoming strong on economic front.

"There is no time to debate on development, nor can we wait for others to achieve the social model of development. We must not blame each other’s and repent for past mistakes. Now we have a political stability in the nation. We must move at a faster rate to build a new and prosperous nation." PM Oli stressed

The political struggle of past emboldened us and taught us a useful lesson to reach the target, despite odd challenges. Our constitution is outstanding, securing democracy, woman rights, and social justices. Since the political issues have been settled, now we have merged as a progressive state, with renewed confidence and vision to remove poverty, hunger, and backwardness.

PM Oli spoke about achieving decent and fruitful employment, modernizing agriculture, utilizing energy sector especially in hydropower, and developing skillful resources. To achieve this goal, we must dream first, and to make progress on this, the private sector, NRN, and the government will have to synergize the efforts to bring possibility in the life of ordinary.
