BHAKTAPUR, Oct 16: The Bhaktapur-based manufacturing facility of Gorkha Precast and Windor Pvt Ltd formally came into operation on Saturday.
The factory was inaugurated by Nepal Workers and Peasants Party President Narayan Man Bijukchhe.

The company has been producing eco panel and UPVC doors and windows. It currently has a workforce comprising of 15 engineers and overseers each, and 150 other laborers.
Promoters of the factory say that products manufactured by the factory are environment-friendly and also energy efficient.
Krishna Bhakta Dulal, CEO of Gorkha Precast and Windor Pvt Ltd, told Republica that eco panels and UPVC windows produced by the factory are eco-friendly and have no effects or health hazards. “We have used calcium silicate board for production of eco panel. Calcium silicate board uses food packaging grade thermocoal which means that there is no health hazard,” added Dulal.
According to Dulal, the company started producing UPVC windows right after the earthquakes of 2015.
Speaking at the inauguration program, Bijukchhe lauded the promoters for establishing a manufacturing facility of eco-friendly construction materials. “I suggest you to bring Chinese technology as it is environment-friendly and energy efficient,” Bijukchhe added.
He also said that he was hopeful that the factory will help to reduce import of construction materials to some extent.
Likewise, Natibhai Hyamba, chairman of Bhaktapur Brick Entrepreneurs Association, said that brick producers were ready to adopt environment-friendly technology in brick production.
