KATHMANDU, June 11: The Morang District Prison has sent Chudamani Uprety, alias, Gore, SSP Shyam Khatri, Bhujung Gurung and Chiring Bangdel Gurung to Kathmandu. Gore is one of the main accused in 38 kg gold smuggling and murder of Sanam Shakya. 

The District Court, Morang had approved of the transfer after Department of Money Laundering planned to investigate their illegal assets. The Ministry of Home Affair’s special investigation committee will also probe further in to the case. Gore was in custody at Morang District Prison while Khatri and Gurung were at Regional Prison Office, Jhumka.  

The Department of Money Laundering will also investigate MK Agrawal's assets, the main accused investor in the smuggling.
