According to Pathak, Nepal imported a total of 7,377 Chinese vehicles including buses, cars, tricycles, vans and other vehicles from China. The price of those imported vehicles exceeded Rs 19.57 billion in the fiscal year 2080/081 BS.

However, Nepal exported goods of just Rs 1.96 billion from the Rasuwagadhi customs point, indicating a huge trade deficit between Nepal and China.

Pathak shared copper utensils, carpets, noodles, zinc sheets, aluminum goods, woolen shawls, readymade clothes and others.

The Customs Office said that it deposited Rs 20.36 billion in the state treasury including customs duty, penalty and VAT in the fiscal year 2023/24.
