KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Gold prices have hit all-time high amid the Tihar festival celebrations. After a steady rise for the past several weeks, today's rise has pushed gold to its peak level.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association reported that fine gold surged by Rs 2,200 per tola on Wednesday, reaching Rs 170,700. For Thursday, the price has been set at Rs 171,000 per tola, marking an additional increase of Rs 300 per tola.

Meanwhile, silver prices have seen a slight decline. On Wednesday, silver traded at Rs 2,120 per tola, but today, it has been adjusted to Rs 2,090 per tola, a drop of Rs 30 per tola.
