Gold price up by Rs 2,400 per tola in local market

KATHMANDU, Aug 13: With a sharp fall of Rs 6,200 on Wednesday, the price of fine gold per tola (11.66 grammes) increased by Rs 2,400 in the local market on Thursday. 

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of per tola fine gold is fixed at Rs 97,800 for today from Thursday’s Rs 95,400.

Likewise, the price of used gold is fixed at Rs 97,300 today. 

Crossing Rs 100,000 mark in the local market some days ago, the price of gold saw a freefall for some days before rising today. 

The price of gold had reached its peak in history on August 7. On that day, the price of fine gold was recorded at Rs 103,500 per tola in the Nepali market. 

Similarly, the price of silver is fixed at Rs 1,295 per tola by increasing Rs 85 on Thursday.
