Gold price up by Rs 1,400 per tola

KATHMANDU, May 5:  The price of gold increased by Rs 1,400 per tola on Thursday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold went up by Rs 1,400 to Rs 98,600 per tola in the domestic market. The yellow metal was traded for Rs 97,200 per tola on Wednesday.

The price of standard gold is Rs 98,100 per tola on Thursday. Similarly, the price of silver rose by Rs 15 to Rs 1,305 per tola on Thursday.

Gold is being traded at approximately USD 1,900 per ounce in the international market today.

The federation has been fixing the prices of gold and silver in Nepal in line with the transaction prices of the precious metals in the international market.
