KATHMANDU, Aug 13: The price of gold has reached a new high. 

The price of fine gold is fixed at Rs 150,800 per tola today, marking an increase of Rs 2,100 per tola compared to the previous day. At the start of the week, gold was traded at Rs 148,700 per tola, showing a decrease of Rs 100.

Silver prices have also risen, with an increase of Rs 25 per tola. On Tuesday, silver reached Rs 1,740 per tola, up from Rs 1,715 per tola on Monday.

The rising international gold prices are impacting the local market. As of Tuesday, gold is trading at $2,461.11 per ounce, up from $2,431.91 per ounce on Monday. Silver is priced at $27.71 per ounce, compared to $27.48 per ounce the previous day.
