KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Gold prices hit an all-time high in the domestic market on Wednesday. Following a stable price the previous day, gold prices surged today.


According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the price of hallmark gold has risen by Rs 800 per tola to Rs 153,100 per tola, marking the highest price ever recorded.

On August 21, the price of gold also reached a historic high. On that day, fine gold was priced at Rs 153,000 per tola, an increase of Rs 700 from the previous day’s rate of Rs 152,300 per tola.


In addition, silver prices also saw an increase on Wednesday. The price of silver rose by Rs 5 per tola, reaching Rs 1,855 per tola.
