Gold price reaches all–time high of Rs 145,400 per tola

KATHMANDU, July 7: The price of gold has set a new record in the country. 


On Sunday, the price of gold rose by Rs 1000 per tola to an all-time high of Rs 1,45,400 per tola in the domestic market, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations (FENEGOSIDA).

Earlier, gold price reached its peak at Rs 145,000 per tola on June 5. Breaking the record, the price of gold set a new record on Sunday.


Even though the price of gold in the Nepali market is the highest so far, it has not been able to break the record of May 20 in the international market. On that day, gold reached $2426 per ounce in the international market. The price of gold is set at $2391 per ounce on Sunday.


Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs 20 per tola on Sunday. According to FENEGOSIDA, silver is being traded at Rs 1,890 per tola, marking an increase from Rs 1,870 per tola on Friday.
