Gold price increased Rs 2,400 to Rs 144,400 per tola last week

KATHMANDU, July 6: The price of gold increased Rs 2,400 per tola (11.6638 grams) in the domestic market last week.


The records with the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA) show that the price of gold reached Rs 144,400 per tola on Friday from Rs 142,000 per tola on Sunday. According to the FENEGOSIDA, the precious metal sustained impacts of seasonal factors on its price in the review period.

According to international media, gold prices remain steady near a two-week high following weaker US economic data, which leads to speculation of potential interest rate cuts.


Likewise, the price of silver also increased Rs 80 per tola. The price was Rs 1,870 per tola on Friday, up from Rs 1,790 per tola on Sunday.
