Gold price hits new record, reaches Rs 157,300 per tola

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: The price of gold has set a new record in the domestic market on Monday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations, the price of fine gold has surged to  Rs 157,300 per tola, marking increases of Rs 500 per tola. This is the highest price of gold recorded so far which has surpassed the previous record set on  September 15, trading at Rs 156,800 per tola.


Meanwhile, the price of silver has  also risen. Silver is being traded at Rs 1,915 per tola today, up from Rs 1,900 per tola the previous day, reflecting an increase of Rs 15 per tola.
