KATHMANDU, July 27: A metal speculated to be gold weighing approximately 1 Kg 135 grams has been recovered from the customs office of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
The gold-like item was recovered through an initiative from the customs police and the airport police.
Pulses and sugar recovered from mill in Nepalgunj
A man by the name Padam Pariyar was arrested by the police in possession of the golden item. According to the customs office, Pariyar landed at the TIA, Kathmandu, from Dubai on a Himalayan Airlines aircraft at 10:30AM today. He was carrying the item with him by making it look like a coffee bottle.
More details regarding the incident are yet to be disclosed.
