RAMECHHAP, July 27: A 19-year-old girl identified as Sharmila Karmacharya died on Friday while taking a selfie near the Tamakoshi River.
Karmacharya, a local of Mahalaxmi Municipality of Bhaktapur had gone to Manthali Municipality. She died while trying to capture a view of the Tamakoshi River in her selfie, informed District Police Office, Ramechhap.
The deceased Karmachaya had gone to Ramechhap for Dolakha visit with her friends. A team of rescuers comprising security personnel of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force recovered her dead body. The dead body has been currently taken to Manthali Health Post for an autopsy.
The dead body will be handed over to the family of the deceased once the postmortem is conducted.
