Ghimire nominated coordinator of NC’s central election committee

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Senior Advocate Gopal Krishna Ghimire has been nominated as the coordinator of the central election committee of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC). Advocate Ghimire was nominated to the post after former coordinator senior advocate Mahadev Prasad Yadav resigned due to health issues, according to the acting chief secretary of the party’s office Dr Pradeep Parajuli.

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Senior Advocate Gopal Krishna Ghimire has been nominated as the coordinator of the central election committee of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC). Advocate Ghimire was nominated to the post after former coordinator senior advocate Mahadev Prasad Yadav resigned due to health issues, according to the acting chief secretary of the party’s office Dr Pradeep Parajuli. 


The resignation of senior advocate Yadav was accepted, as per the party’s statute, by President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday. Prior to the nomination, senior advocate Ghimire was a senior member of NC’s central election committee.

Meanwhile, the district convention, provincial convention, parliamentary election, and municipal convention of NC have already concluded in various regions across the country. The 14th General Convention of NC is scheduled from December 10 to 12.
