DHULIKHEL, Jan 5: Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM) has directed the gas industries flouting standards to stop production, sale and distribution of such gas.
A team led by Bureau Director Manoj Kumar Upadhyay conducted monitoring at Sagarmatha, Surya and Chandeshwori Gas Industries.
The industries except Sagarmatha have not filled the forms to get NS mark, said Upadhyay, adding that these are banned to produce, refill gas cylinder, and sell these.
The government has made it mandatory for the industries to have NS 533. The owners of the industries have been asked to appear before the Bureau within three days.
